Texas Hold'em Tips
Try to vary your playing style (this is a tip that can
be used successfully in many card games, not just Texas Holdem). A predictable
player might as well be playing all his cards where everybody can see them.
Always draw to the high end of a straight. If 7-8-9 flops,
you should be playing J-10, not 6-5.
Study your opponents, since you are trying to beat them,
not the deck. Keep an eye out for anybody breaking the rule at the top of
this page.
Starting position is very important. It is always better
to be in the position to act last in any round, since you will already know
what your opponents are working towards. This is especially useful early
in the game, since some starting hands work better against large groups
of players.
